ZOO DOCTOR

Children will relish thin entertaining account of the daily experiences of the veterinary at Bronx Zoo. Uproarious photographs by Sam Dunton, the Bronx Zoo's staff photographer, aid and abet author William Bridges in his successful effort to captivate the young. This volume has distinguished ancestry, following as it does Mr. Bridges Zoo Babies and Zoo Pets. Monkeyshines galore are hilariously described. The behaviour of four small apes named after Little Women and of a chimp who fell and broke his leg on a banana peel are told in such easy language that slow readers should be able to master it. It's also tops to read aloud.
