I WENT TO THE ANIMAL FAIR

William Cole, who is known for his earlier collections of children's poetry, happily combines his discriminating editorial talent with the illustrative flair of Colette Rosselli. The result is a wholly tasteful and entertaining anthology of scanned whimsy and metrical playfulness, served up with graceful and eloquent black and white drawings. Twenty seven poems to be read and remembered, some familiar, some not, but all delicious and suitable for the tenderest palate.
