APACHE KILL

Military ambitions, Apache attacks, love and loyalty mix in the story of Burt Adkins' outdoing of cavalry and Apache alike. Determined to take his stolen stepsister from the Apache who killed his father and stepmother, Burt joins the cavalry. But to save Jenny and Fort Vernon he counters by thinking Apache, deserting, and finally rounding up the Indians. Mixed motives add some punch.
