There are, besides a credo of a writer, a lament and paean for life, intimations of mortality, a fairy story of a mouse that steals money, and several that have nameless, impersonal protagonists. The title story tells of a fighter who becomes champion after the death of the girl he loves and is an example of good story telling and characterization. Joins My Name is Aram for its wider appeal.
