GRABBIT THE RASCAL

Grabbit the Rascal, a composite of eighteenth century Rhinelanders from Hebel's Rhenish Almanac and the author's telling imagination, has a talent for polished trickery. In the earliest of these eight incidents he teaches his craftiness to two apprentices. Bobbin and Spindle go straight after close shaves with the law but Grabbit continues to press his luck until, caught, he is tried in court. His last wish: to die of old age. With a storyteller like Mr. Wiesner on his side his reputation will certainly prosper. Longish text, smallish pictures, stylish Grab(bit) bag.
