ROMELLE

Another of the demon-lover themes, this time of night club singer, Romelle, who loves and marries romantic, mysterious Jules Ramond. Jules, whose ambiguous present is only hinted at through his tales of his past and his family's glories, rouses unquiet doubts in Romelle, but with nothing definite to fear, she knows no terror of his locked room, his unpredictable hatreds, strange actions. With the death of his admitted enemy, and Jules' disappearance, Romelle learns the secret of the Bluebeard chamber, and Jules' peculiar double life, but joins him in his attempt to escape the police. Beltline model- that should keep the dust off the rental shelves.
