TWO ON A TOW

If this did not come so early in the season, I'd be inclined to give it a double asterisk -- it's that good. It is a honey of a story of modern life on a canal, connecting Buffalo with the Hudson, with the survival of the old sense of rivalry between boats (or groups of boats under tow) and with an original plot in which twin boys, unwilling to be separated, manage to escape detection but have plenty of excitement in the process, until circumstances force them to show themselves together. I loved it, and I'm sure youngsters will like it too.
