BACHELORS GET LONELY

Donald Lam -- despite his hard-headed partner, Bertha, and her orders to the contrary, pursues his Private Eye criminal investigations by a devious, somewhat slimy route. That he manages to save the innocent and capture the guilty hardly provides sufficient justification for an odd assortment of Peeping Toms, strip tease artists, glorified call girls and a highly acclaimed propensity for proving irresistible to every female that crosses his path. Plotwise, this is ingenious, slick, fast.
