Bertha Cool solos dangerously (while Donald Lam is becoming a hero in the Navy), and Sergeant Sellers is forced to shadow her to prevent too many illegalities on her part, in the complicated case of high pressure finances, two killings, women trouble, and Bertha's own suit for libel. Really quite funny, with Bertha on the verge of apoplexy more than once, because of other people's doublecrossing her.
