THE PICTURE FACT BOOKS

This is an excellent series, which belongs primarily in the vocational classification, with schools and libraries the main markets. The two additions are Farm Workers and Library Workers. Against a text and photograph background of what happens, of the various aspects of the life and work, of new developments, there is a good deal of factual information about future developments, types of jobs, training, etc. Farm Workers spurred the imagination more, with its social aspects, and its glimpses into the future. But Library Workers will probably have wider appeal, in the fact that the majority of school systems are now linked with public libraries, and a better understanding of what makes the wheels go round in libraries should be part of the story. The photographic and reproduction job in this series improves constantly.
