LIVING CAN BE EXCITING

There is no end to the writing of books of inspiration, because there are increasing numbers of customers for such books. This is one of the better ones, holding up the mirror to life to reflect all of it as it is, bad as well as good, ghastly as well as glorious, and for the purpose of showing men how to grasp what life offers by the handle rather than by the blade. The author is concerned that the reader dismiss his self-defeating, purposeless notions and transform them into creative, exciting and purposeful living. To this end he shows that there is healing in laughter and that peace of mind is not as easily found as other popular books of inspiration would seem to indicate. He deals persuasively with the problem of drinking, and wisely with the fact of death. He believes in people, in silence, and shows that handicaps may be our servants. He writes of the real meaning of happiness and shares his conviction that prayer is the solution to all our problems. All this, and such more, will inspire the reader to live positively and excitingly. It will make a good gift book, and will doubtless have a wide reading.
