THE STORY OF LASSIE

Even if you're wishing that Lassie would go home to the Happy Hunting Ground, if you like dogs, you'll like this story of Lassie's training from ordinary cheesecake with starlets to fame and fortune. Besides the success story, the authors have included general information about the history, care and training of dogs slanted toward the average dog owner -- also stories about dogs in wartime, dogs as companions for children, and a valuable section of a series of training procedures, graduated in difficulty- from ""to come when called"" to yawning and sneezing. Directions for hand signals are given for training dogs in show work. A reliable general appeal -- double for juvenile.
