VOLCANOES OF SAN DOMINGO

A classy action-adventure tale picks up the inquiry into a Skyliner crash some two years after the fact of its disappearance when Paul Rayner, of Transocean, gets a lead that a survivor- the pilot- has been spotted in Aguador, an amphorous South American police state. Rayner runs into all kinds of interferences; there is the attempt to ""compromise"" and deport him; and Willis, another TOA security man, proves to be an additional obstruction. Not so the lovely Giselle Vidal, one of the other six or seven survivors, all very frightened people, and the story here has a double runway--Rayner's attempt to raise the wreck of the plane and determine the cause of the disaster, and the girl he succeeds in salvaging... Very lively, deadly stuff.
