Realistic as theatre career stories go, for the developments are entirely within the realm of possibility for a stage struck girl. Vicki started plugging for a spot in theatre as soon as she was out of High School. She tramped the sidewalks of New York in vain. Then, forced by circumstance to do something about it, she created the beginnings of a career for herself as director of the little theatre group in her suburban home town. She finds romance too, but the chief importance of the book lies in the practical pointers on little theatre work in small towns.
