Nancy Gay had a feel for clothes, but it took a lot of training, adjusting and working, for her to reach the heights of having her Gay Design label important in the world of American design. Her first job was in a pattern house, when she had to cops with that fiendish problem of designing clothes that would be equally attractive for sizes fourteen or forty. A career and success story this has good minor characters, Roger, the art director, George, the teacher, Sharon, the model and Juvenile author, and Noel, Nancy's brother.
