KIRKUS REVIEW

Subtitled ""A Simplified Guide for Beginners,"" this is an attractive come-on for the new seamstress which gives plenty of advice and support. The first is to ""sew something pretty as you follow the text,"" which ranges from selection of fabric (cotton is the easiest fiber to sew) through choice and analysis of pattern, use of machine, actual sewing--stitches and items from hem to ""fanciful frogs!"" There is even a dry run for the ""I can't sew a straight line"" contingent.
