RUSSIAN BALLETS

This book should be to the ballet-goer what the Brentano Opera Glass is to the opera-goer. The most frequently performed ballets are described with instructive bits of information concerning the story, the music, the dancers, and the fine points of each phase. Written primarily for those with some background and understanding of the subject, but valuable to the uninitiate as well. In its function lies its value -- rather than in its content, which includes fourteen ballets. Well done -- and good reading.
