RECURRING CYCLES OF FASHION 1760-1937

This book is built on the theory that cycles of change in fashions are predictable, and that following her charts of these cycles, based on past history of dress, would give designers and manufacturers a clue to new trends in advance. She weakens her own theory by acknowledging that at the present moment the time has gone past the indication of the cycle for a change. None the less, if the plates are as good as the publishers claim, the book should be invaluable for reference.
