KIRKUS REVIEW

These poems just don't come up to the mark. With a very few exceptions, the verses and the illustrations--lack spontaneity and swing, are self-conscious. Many of the themes are well-worn, and the age-appeal is mixed, for some are sprightly and quite simple; others are prose-poems with an inspirational slant. Second rate.
