KIRKUS REVIEW

In picture and expanded caption is shown the development of ""man a tool-using mal"", from the stone age down. Not easy to follow. The paragraphs are solidly set, the material so closely written that it takes a good deal of general background to make it clear and dramatic reading, to supply for oneself the connecting links, the shift back and forth in chronological time. The main outlines are fundamentals in life-agriculture, tools, power, transportation, communication.
