A walk in the woods during each of four seasons results in surprises not bargained for. Nature's protective colors keep a rabbit, a fawn, a grouse and a weasel well hidden until their quick movements separate them from their surroundings and reveal their identity to the child. Dressed in brown hat and green smock the child too attempts to blend into the woods like ""nothing at all"". Miss Fisher's fresh original verse and Leonard Weisgard's penetrating illustrations in one color create a most satisfying blend.
