The Zeppo Brothers, whose specialty is a human pyramid, performed for the first time in Zig-Zag Zeppo (1961). They make an antic comeback here, even though they are ""supposed to be off duty. This story runs along the farcical lines of the When Knighthood Went to Seed variety which has been popular lately. The brothers are the welcome guests Of a King who prefers games and puzzles to any serious business, but they are being hotly pursued by a neighboring Count and his knights. By turning the palace topsy-turvy, the acrobats manage to break up the attempted assault -- and probably their reading audience in the process. The colorful illustrations are full of nicely silly detail. The Zeppos are still flexible and should be able to continue adding to their repertoire.
