Mattie, and without scruples, meets a deserved demise at the hands of one of a collection of during a short but profitable stay at a resort hotel. The father of one of them, newspaper photographer, uncovers the murderer in the interests of his son. Straight story of murder which is adequate enough, but lacks style. Not up to the usual Crime Club selection.
