BENJAMIN AND THE BOX

By

Pub Date: March 10th, 1978
Publisher: Lippincott

A blown-up cliche featuring Benjamin, a hamster in eyeglasses, whose coldly pictured efforts to find out what is in that old standby, the mysterious box, include prying with screwdriver, pounding with hammer, waving a magic wand (for this he dons a star-studded magician's outfit from a package labeled ""for hamsters only""), etc., etc., dynamite included. Finally the occupant of the box is roused, peeks out to investigate--and Benjamin climbs in with his fellow hamster, hanging up a DO NOT DISTURB sign before closing the lid. Slick, and icky.
