SIX DAY WEEK

The time is the future; the villains are Communists, Italian style; and the hero is very British Davis Troy, a foreign corespondent sent to roam Rome in search of his predecessor. Troy's secondary assignment is to cover the upcoming visit of England's Princess, never named. It soon becomes evident that both tasks are related and that a plot, to kill the Princess, is actually a Red herring. The real target is the Vatican. There's a lovely girl, whose Communist brother is in on the assassination plan and there's a rugged chase in, under, and around the ruins of Rome. But the whole thing lacks finesse.
