More grist for the invisible man watchers, this picks up where Bashful Billionaire left off and also discloses some previously unknown tidbits--Hughes supports another woman; Hughes once accidentally killed a man; Hughes once photographed near-greats under the guise of R. Wayne Rector portraitist extraordinaire; Hughes once crossed the country as a hobo and developed a grudge against the Salvation Army. But most of this is about the great ""Strip tease,"" with his now-you-see-me-now-you-won't manipulations that have bought up half the town, the Air West Airlines and a cartel of some 710 mining claims, real estate, etc. ad infinitum. And how the Vegans reacted to this invasion of their special planet. The Frank Sinatra debacle as well as Hughes' Ban the Bomb testing efforts are all detailed and there is much speculation about his great, mysterious master plan that seems to have been abandoned in the blueprint stage. In fact, has he already deserted the Desert Inn? For some this will be more fun than a barrel of Jackie and Aris. . . for others so much craps.
