Happy the crook confronted only by two legged men in blue rather than a four-footed snarling mass of Alsatian police dog. These are stories of the canny ""K-9"" training given these animals (they are not inherently vicious). Even dogdom has its Sherlock Holmes--Dox, ""world champion of police dogs,"" who once pinned down a piece of evidence that had been thrown in the river. And did you know that a spaniel changed the course of history by saving William of Orange's life? Despite the stories of feats that would make Lassie look like a kennel reject, this is a minimal book of interest only to dedicated dog lovers and/or future criminals.
