HARDY CHRYSANTHEMUMS by Alex Cumming

HARDY CHRYSANTHEMUMS

By

Publisher: Whittlesey

This is a welcome volume on a highly satisfactory plant, a good addition to the Whittlesey House garden series edited by F. F. Rockwell. In a bulletin of problem children such as delphinium, lilies and shade gardens the easily grown 'mum is a joy. It's a joy in the garden too. From early August to December chrysanthemums provide armfuls of bloom in glorious colors of varying size. Mr. Cumming gives their history, ancient and modern, excellent advice on their selection, care, propagation and cultivation. Especially valuable to the gardener with a new place who wants quick bloom.
