WITH DANIEL BOONE ON THE CAROLINY TRAIL

Exciting story for older boys. Daniel Boone sets out with his father to explore Carolina prior to moving the family. There they meet Young Washington (17), lost while on a surveying trip. Young Dan loses his elders, finds Jody, a friend of George's, and the two of them fall foul of Indians, and are captured and have a thrilling escape. Good forest lore, and enough historical background to give it a semblance of authenticity.
