Strong in its sentiment, Alf Evers' and Helen Sewell's (as artist) interpretation of the Creation builds the delicate forces of love and wonderment with a simple quietude. Following the Biblical pattern there is God's creation of the universe, Earth and its plant life bare without animal life to experience it. Then the creatures before man are created to live, and man is made to live, to wonder at and to love. A fresh view of basic things- much of it in Helen Sewell's symbolic-realistic pictures in two tones- creates in itself the strong feeling of our place in nature.
