KIRKUS REVIEW

A fair mystery/adventure, the story offers only momentary flashes of suspense when Denny Meech, assisted by his cousin and dog, tracks down two men who have been shooting deer illegally. A more distinctive feature of the book is the backwoods, Catskill Mountains setting, which the author has used in some of his earlier books. Readers eager for action may get some lift out of the pleasant regional Flavor and Denny's outdoor approach.
