KIRKUS REVIEW

Uninteresting and routine, this follows a youngish writer with writer's block -- and how he gets rid of it. The block seems to have been caused by various fairly sordid events throughout his life starting when he was a small boy and continuing through a high school love affair, marriage to a nice rich girl during the war, a long lasting liaison with his best friend's wife (now a top Hollywood sex queen) a sister-in-law's seduction, etc., etc. This is all pretty unbelievable and cliche-ridden, not only in its writing but also in its plot episodes and characters.
