THE SPIRIT OF VIENNA

I'm afraid the tourist trend toward Vienna is not sufficient -- at this season -- to give this book the attention it merits. However, it is so much more than a mere guide to Vienna (and its environs) that it should be sold to anyone interested in armchair travelling, as a winter hobby. The first part of the book gives a brief survey of the historical background. The balance is a delightful tour of the city of Vienna, crammed with the sort of human interest material that makes an ideal guide book.
