The ill-starred romance of the highwayman and Bess, ""the landlord's black-eyed daughter"" in turbulent rubies and purples. The various parts of the poem are printed separately, followed by several pages of high-keyed, high-colored pictures. All very lush, and hardly likely to stir the skeptical generation.
