A practical book for garden lovers and others, with good working information about raising certain kinds of flowers, making a compost heap, laying out a garden plan, and so on. All sorts of practical scientific facts are presented, -- how to test seeds by blotting paper or canton flannel method, how to induce speedier germination by filing off the ends.
