HITLER'S SECOND ARMY

We are fighting not only Hitler's military might, but the semi-military organizations behind the Army. This is a study of those organizations, -- their historical backgrounds, their personnel, functions, duties, training, insignia, equipment. Some of these organizations are now part of the military; some have lost power; some provide proving grounds for future military use. In their ranks they include men and women, boys and girls, Germans and satelite nationalities and the conquered peoples. The tricks of recruiting, the preponderantly military phases of their training -- all tend to indicate that in these ""second armies"" lies the strength of Hitler's home defense troops -- troops about which all possible should be known in advance.
