THE DARK PASSAGE

At first glance Marlon's dark and lonely passage through life looks neither lonely nor dark. Stalwart Alex is hopelessly in love with Marion, who returns the admiration; the neuroses of Kit, Marion's first husband, are in the hands of his second wife; and Kit is conveniently on the brink of the Larger Life after an auto smash-up. But Marion feels she should have made Kit's life a finer, richer thing, and Alex is put in cold storage for several pages until Kit expires together with Marion's guilt complexes. Fuzzy.
