KIRKUS REVIEW

GROOVY, but ALICE HONEY if you're gonna really make that CHICKEN SOUP so you kin eat it. you gotta SKIM OFF THE FAT. And Alice I ain't takin' your word that your MOTHER'S MEATBALLS with 2 bottles of chili catsup, 1 jar of grape jelly and 2 sliced lemons CAME TO ANY GOOD AT ALL. But Alice THINGS GET MUCH BETTER. You really know what to do with CORN and FISH and the SPINACH THAT ARLO LIKED. The way you write the cookbook Alice, drives us squarer types CRAZY -- that big Barnum print and yaketting but ARLO'S FRIENDS will like it and your how to do it ain't all that bad, and maybe the hipper types will actually turn on the STOVE to get anything they want.
