RIDE ON THE WIND

Miss Dalgliesh's retelling of the Lindbergh story, as it was presented in The Spirit of Saint Louis, is a fine distillation, capturing as it does the essence of the feelings that went into the flight over the Atlantic. The narrative shows Lindbergh both as a dreamy youth and a practical man who had not forgotten all his dreams and there is a spirit of immediacy and direct participation in the flight itself and in its triumph.
