A wholly successful blend of good travel material, enough of personal anecdote, and good intermixture of historical and biographical facts, with the very feel and look and sense of the successive countries visited. Mian Dalgilesh has included material of special interest to children, bits about schools, libraries, books, fiestas and native children, but she has done it so adroitly that not for a moment does she seem to be writing down to her readers. The book is beautifully made, good format, good type page, and ideal illustrations, in pencil drawings, and in full color spreads that look hand done, page by page. One of the peaks of a good season.
