DEATH SENTENCE

What would you do if your death sentence had been pronounced by your doctor, and you saw your daughter heading for a pitfall, the nets drawing around her, and the instrument, the man you had virtually insisted upon her marrying? That's the theme of this new novel. But it is not up to Mrs. Miller's usual facile, pleasant standard, and -- all in all -- is a rather dull, machine-made tale.
