KIRKUS REVIEW

The author of The White Cliffs has turned in on her English memories with running commentary, snecdotes, hits of humor, quotations from verse and prose, nostalgic descriptions, adding vastly to the value of an excellent collection of fine photographs. One feels carried back to vacations spent in England, -- town and village and city, quiet countryside, immortal monuments to England's past, cathedrals, bits of Oxford and Cambridge, Harrow and Eton, England from many sides, and England that can never again wear that air of timelessness and permanence. A book for those who would take, in memory, one more vacation in England. Mrs. Miller's has chosen well, and her name will carry far towards big sales.
