CHILDREN'S STORIES TO READ OR TELL

An excellent and unusual collection of stories. Not really sermons nor even inspirational, they do however encourage a child to think and reason and evaluate for himself the puzzling aspects of life around him. A section of fables, the majority from Aesop; a section of ""Stories of Enchantment and Adventure""; courage and kindness; famous men and women. The editor has chosen very wisely stories of imagery, of humor, where the moral value is such an intrinsic part that neither they nor the meaning will be soon forgotten. Recommended for all who work with groups of children, in whatever capacity.
