All about Maggie Kenny, who had once married Johnny, a newspaperman, casual, careless and emotionally errant, as she marries again Richard Garrick, the city editor, who offers her the permanence she had never had with Johnny. With Johnny's return into her life, penitent and persistent, Maggie has some shaky moments, guilty too, until she realizes that it is Richard whom she really loves.
