KIRKUS REVIEW

Wolf Boy, a Kiowa Indian boy, joined his older brother and his friends on a far journey to follow Summer as it went southward. The boys found talking birds (parrots), strange tree people (monkeys) and at last the black stone knives they wanted, but not before an encounter with alligators and white settlers.
