The story of an American girl who goes to Exeter for her Junior college year, and crams that year with widening horizons as she learns to understand the English, and uses her holidays to widen her vision. Winter holidays in London -- Spring recess on the continent -- Norway in early Summer. A slim romantic thread runs through her relations with boys of different nationalities, weighed against the boy back home. And she finds her place in the field of art and life, through her contacts, work and play. Pretty thin as to characterizations, but a good idea.
