KIRKUS REVIEW

A bit of fluff that contains a few hints for the embryo writer. Betty Lookhart and her ailing mother have $2,000 between them and the wolf -- not even a door until they buy a house in New England, pretty it up, find a valuable stamp in a secret partition and get their respective men. Betty has literary leanings and writes her own novel, giving chapter by chapter development in an appendix. This won't put the reader to sleep but it is definitely not one of the author's best.
