KIRKUS REVIEW

A nonsense tale with a moral- but so beautifully presented by this gifted author-artist that one can forgive the obviousness of the text. It is a story about a dissatisfied little bird that used up his three wishes in such absurd ways that he was still unhappy. And then another bird pitied his fate, and used her wish to make him what he was before. Of course they lived happily ever after. Enchanting pictures in bright flat color and pencilled grays -- with humor and imagination.
