THE OGRE'S BANQUET

An oversized (8(apple) x 11(apple)""), synthetic fairy tale about Tom, who is forced into service for an ogre and ordered to spiff up the gryphon's coat and voice for an upcoming party. Tom is too kindhearted to use the swan's egg and the thrush's tongue the job requires, but when the time comes a mirror cloak (the swan's suggestion) dresses up the gryphon and Tom's own whistle provides such beautiful music that the ogre sets him free.
