H.M.S. ULYSSES

The story of the Murmansk run outlines in fiction form the voyage of the convoy in which the Ulysses and her men paid price after price to reach the goal in one of history's starkest episodes. As the convoy dwindles, as the Germans attack, and as mutiny grows, the story is unrelieved in its bitter march of death and destruction. Perhaps the very starkness, coupled with an unfamiliar British lingo, will deter readers- but human factors should outweigh the difficulties.
